Tavon "Tay" Gibbs is a first-generation college graduate from Detroit, Michigan — a three-time degree holder with a master's in engineering, a former college and professional baseball player, an actor, and a voice for anyone navigating loss, resilience, and reinvention.
After losing his mother, Tavon channeled his grief into purpose — launching Talk with Tay, a podcast dedicated to raw, honest conversations about grief and the human experience. What started as a personal outlet has become a movement, helping others find strength in their most challenging moments.
Today, Tavon balances corporate America with his creative mission — proving that you can honor your pain, chase your purpose, and show up powerfully in every room you enter.
Every chapter shaped the man behind the mission.
